Drag the light: as it rakes across the folds from the side, highlights ride the crests and shadow pools in the troughs - the same arrangement of fabric yields a completely different tonal map with each direction of light. Bring the light frontal and the folds flatten to near-nothing. Fold depth and fold count reshape the cloth itself.
